  • Nikon D850 Trigger Problem.

When I ordered, I have both Nikon D850 and Sony A7R3. Today I wanted to test with Nikon D850 first time since purchased, but It didn't trigger with FW 12313 as Sony is working fine with partial panorama. Is there any guide or resolution to setup the shutter trigger for Nikon D850? I searched the trigger and d850 here but don't seem to find the solution.

I attached the pictures of the cable that I am using with Nikon D850. Please share howto or let me know if there is some settings I need?

    Thank you,

I followed the user's manual: Config -> 6 -> Shutter Config. TEST. It shows shutter number as 0. I also tested with Sony A7R3, It reports as 0 but panorama shooting works fine. Also I tried, WEB UI -> Config -> Use New Shutter Confirmation -> Either 1. checked - reboot, 2. unchecked - reboot, Shutter Config counts as 0 within 10 sec. Again, Sony works fine. Maybe this is a bug in shutter count tests?

      1. Preset#21: This is what I used to use (old FW - May 2021 timeframe, don't remember the old version number) and working both in Sony and Nikon:

      2. Preset#40: This is something wrong which can't trigger both Sony and Nikon as I created since the new firmware update..

            In OLED menu,

            1) select the preset
            2) press [+]
            3) press [>] until AF OFF flashes
            4) press [+] to change it in MF or AF:0.2

            or in web UI /row
            1) load preset
            2) click/tap on AF OFF and change it to MF or AF 0.1 or any other value.
            3) test the preset and save it

            or in /config
            user: admin
            pass: Mecha
at Fixed settings, enter at AF: 0.2
            then click on [Apply]
that will force 0.2 AF for any preset.

            1. Mecha it possible.
            2. Mecha it easy.

A couple of more questions ( I don't seem to find the application from the forum with search),

                1. Somehow, I was in the 4th row of total 5 rows, can I start over the 4th row again after pause during 4th row? How about to go back 2nd row?
                2. Wonder how I can pause/set focus/resume the shots in the center of the horizontal angle of each row of the total 5 rows? (on the way of going back to the next row) For example, when I shoot 120 x 40 which has 5 rows for panorama, i want to pause in the 2 to 5 row for focusing in the middle of each row as I already have the focus before running. Is it possible?

                Thank you.

Going back and forth is not possible now, it will be possible in the FW update before Feb 1st 2022.
                  1. Mecha it possible.
                  2. Mecha it easy.

How about pausing in the center of the row when going to the next row?

You can pause with NN IR remote [ >|| ], or [PAUSE] from web UI,
or [<] from C2 controller or click on [<] from /c2 web UI to enter in step by step mode then
press [>] to advance one step then again [<] to advance and cancel step by step.

Also you can add P before a certain row in script, to pause at the beginning of that row like

                        SL,P0x18,-28.03x18,-56.06x14,28.03x18,56.06x14,ZZ,NN

there is not possible to pause when going at a particular row, only at the beginning of the row.
By advanced scripting you can achieve pause at any position but will be an easier way in the upcoming FW update.
