      Is it possible to do a script like this?
      If I only want to limit the part of the shot to 0° horizontal, not 360°, but 120°.

      Example.

        • Yes, that is it should be as Nick kindly suggested, for only particular row limitation.

          Some other exotic examples

          SL,0x8^60,34x6,-27x6,

          this will provide 8 shots at 60 deg, 480 deg for horizontal row, the first part will be overlapping 120 deg, taken twice (again at the end of the row)

          SL,0x18,34x6,-27x6,

          this will provide 18 shots for horizontal row, while for fish eye the NPP is subtle different for 20 and 60 deg. apart
          what that offer is a lot of extra shoots which can be used as
          1) three sets of 6 images (made from one at every 3) with an offset , when moving features are in scene like cars, people.
          2) extra shots which can have a bus or a tree in one shoot with no seams on it

          • Hi Dorin

            This is a question regarding code 31<.

            Everything runs fine. However, A:19.95 sec should be about A:1 sec or 2 sec to use without using the UI.

            The preset automatically created at 31< is A:19.95 sec too long.

            Is there any particular reason you specified 19.95 sec?

            • When executing 31< code MECHA waits for on press of the power to trigger the camera and another press after the camera is triggered.

              that tells MECHA how much pause is needed to be sure the camera finises the shooting (e.g. bracketing) and to move only after the shooting is complete.

              In the case you outlined must have been a delay of 19.95 seconds between the presses of the power button, MECHA thought that is the time needed for the shooting on a position.

              You can change the A: in UI, if needed, or repeat the 31< code with press to trigger then press after trigger is complete, thus having 2 sec.

                Thank you Nick and Dorin!! Mecha worked beautifully with the script you guys gave me.

                For example, if I start out with 0° horizontally and limit the shooting range to 90°, i.e. 3 shots in 30° increments, Mecha will take 3 shots in the specified direction from the starting position in sequence: 0°, +30°, +60°. So, if it were possible to make the shooting sequence in this area 0°, -30° and +30°, that would be very nice.

                • This will be much easier with the upcoming Wizard for shooting pattern,
                  until then you can use this script,

                  S=0,=0_0,=_-30,=_60,=34_-30,=_60,5=-27,5=,=0_60

                  use [17 Shots] the script needs the number of shots + 2 to perform the shooting pattern (3+6+6)+2=17

                  the script explained
                  S=0, start level
                  =0_0, first shot is at 0°V, 0°H
                  =0_-30, next shot is at 0°V, -30°H from previous
                  =0_60, next shot is at 0°V, 60°H from previous, thus 30°H
                  =34_-30, next shot is at 34°V, -30°H from previous, thus 0°H, is back in initial position regarding H
                  =_60, next shot is at 60°H from previous,
                  5=-27, the next 5th shoot is at -27°V, same increment
                  5=, another 5 shots with same increment
                  =0_60 ends in 0°H and 60°V from previous, thus initial position

                  • Looks like there is a good demand for left-right-left-right symmetrical pattern.
                    Can you offer a script for Thomas as well.

                    I've a special use case now and i'd like to build a script for my 1-axis mecha setup: 1 row with a sequence as follows: 9 shots at 0° pan angle (all with evenly spaced timing), 9 shots at 45°, 9 @ 315°, 9 @ 90°, 9 @ 270°, [email protected] 135°, 9 @ 225°, 9 @ 180°. later when i added a 2nd E1 unit i want to add 9 shots tilted up 90! @ 0° between the 4th and 5th position. do you think this is possible? kind of »non-linear row sequences«? and in case it is: how can this be done with scripting the mecha? thanks in advance! have a nice day! best regards thomas

                    yes, exactly. i'm using it (manually so far) to minimize the time difference between all neighbouring shots.

                    • I'll add today or tomorrow some enhancements to the simple way of scripting (MSS),

                      1) when partial panorama is specified, a negative value will mean partial panorama symmetrical from initial position
                      2) specify partial panoramas on both H and V

                          =90_-90, Zenith shoot at 90°V and -90°H from previous, thus 0°H absolute
