  • PTGui to MECHA Presets

MECHA Wizard will accept PTGui files as presets, but this feature is not ready yet.

    Until then

I'll provide the MECHA presets for any PTGui file uploaded here.

This should help anyone in using the MECHA more easy even before the Wizard is ready.
If time allows, I'll translate the settings, for advanced users could be an useful reference point.
So if you already have a PTGui file you successfully used for a Camera + Lens Combo (taken on manual pano head) please upload here,
maybe zipped if the forum doesn't allow, then use MECHA to shoot a series of photos with the same pattern using the preset I'll provide in return.

Is no need for the images, just the .pts file is enough.

BTW, This can also be done via zLM I'll give more details about this if someone wants to use zLM

for other MECHA presets (other kind, not from a PTGui file)
    kindly refer to
    https://forum.nodalninja.com/forum/p...-mecha-presets

    Starting with FW update C1E_02034,

become much easier for both :
    1) To provide MECHA presets for various patterns.
    2) To modify the provided preset for some variations from it

      Dorin,
Hopefully this will work. I renamed my files to the order that I would like them shot. loaded them into PTGui Pro and created the pts file which i have attached

I should have named it 35MM_FF_N-8-DW3x14-8-Z-01 DW is for Digital Wave

          Thank you.

Just need to optimize some things (regarding speed),
then I'll post the presets with the new S language, quite easy to understand and modify.

I'll get back soon, today or tomorrow for sure.

Added to examples of panoramas with the middle in Square Wave pattern,

            available via [More from Server..]

            DAC 35MM on FF Z-8-15-8-N Square 01 FW-02044

            DAC 35MM on FF N-8-15-8-Z Square 02 FW-02044

which is what your PTGui files looks like, except the middle are made from 15 columns alternating up and down.
the shooting sequence needs to be started with either:

            [66 x RIGHT] clockwise panorama
            or
            [66 x LEFT] counter-clockwise. panorama

You need to update to the C1E_02044
As always, test first without camera mounted, especially if you use long lens or camera can hit the rails,
then mount camera and you may increase the the speed (RPM) after testing a while to be sure that everything is OK,

            -------------------------------------8<-----------------------------------

            C1E_02044

Improved the S language to allow the scripting in compact form for Square Wave pattern panorama and other repetitive, with sense alternation, patterns.
Added two examples of Square Wave panorama for 35mm lens on FF available via [More from Server..]

Hi all. I would appreciate it if someone could code a preset based on this PTS file: https://www.360imagery.co.uk/temp/3_rows_8_Z_D.pts
              It's 3 rows of 8 images (0 / +50 / -50) with 2 x zeniths from 0 & 180 and 2 x nadirs from 0 & 180. (make sense?)
