  • updated FW to 02065 - DA no longer automatically paired on power up...

Upgraded FW from 02051 to 02065 - and when I turn on both Mechas (H first) they're no longer automatically paired (I had successfully paired them using the "buttons only" technique). If I start a row pano to test, only H moves.....

    Please
    1) power up H MECHA and when LEDs blink like -=-=-= press and hold button [1] until you heard 5 beeps (about 3 sec)
    2) power up V MECHA and when LEDs blink like -=-=-= press and hold button [2] until you heard 5 beeps (about 3 sec)

They will become paired and will be paired at the next time as well.

After this procedure you can connect with your phone to SSID
    MECHA-H-DAC
    pass:12345678

then you can access the /config
    user: admin
    pass: Mecha
    and change the password

If you want to change the SSID of H MECHA
be sure the name starts with

    MECHA-H

If the above procedure doesn't work you need to update FW of V MECHA too,

Once they will be paired, they will upgrade both at once at the future update commands. i.e. you'll only need to update
    H MECHA from UI.

    1. Mecha it possible.
    2. Mecha it easy.
    3. Mecha team up.

Part 1) works for me - i.e. 5 beeps after 3 secs of pressing button [1], but when I power up V MECHA (part 2), I don't get 5 beeps pressing button [2]. How soon after setting H MECHA do I turn on V MECHA?

The V MECHA looks like doesn't have the latest FW,
please update V MECHA to the latest FW just like you'd have a single MECHA
        (only the V one)
        then it should work.

You only need to do this once, then after pairing, both will be updated together from then on.

How do I update just V MECHA? I only have MECHA-H123 as an option to connect to via WiFi - not the individual MECHAs. If they're paired, does the update not do both H & V automatically together? In ROW settings, it states 02065 underneath....

            Please
            1) Power OFF H MECHA
            2) Power ON V MECHA
            3) when LEDs blink like -=-=-=-= press button [3] for 3 seconds until you heard beeps.
            4) connect to V MECHA SSID, it will have the name MECHA-... and its ID, using the password 12345678
            5) access the V MECHA at 192.168.8.1 and update as usual.

after the update is finished you can proceed to the pairing procedure as described above.

Then yes, both will update at once after pairing, no need to update them individually anymore.
            1. Mecha it possible.
            2. Mecha it easy.
            3. Mecha team up.

According to server log you should have now both MECHAs updated and the pairing described above should work.
              Please try the pairing again.

Hi Dorin, that seems to have now worked - and they're paired successfully using your new method. Thanks, Stu
