Hi, I’m new here and just bought a Nodal Ninja 6 E2. It arrived yesterday and since I’m trying to deal with it and I have to say I’m struggling. I’ve read the manual, but it is still unclear how to do a basic 360 panorama and I only have 4-5 days to decide if I want to keep the unit.
    1. Do I need to turn the Mechas on in a certain order - it already couldn't connect 3 times since yesterday?
    2. For dual axis do I need to go Ring / Row or Turn tab? I couldn’t find in the manual what those tabs do.
    3. If I press the “STOP” button it stops immediately, but how do I reset it, the app does not respond to any input after it and the Mecha is stuck at a certain angle.
    4. Sometimes if I press a button in the app it just keeps loading and I have to turn off the entire unit and restart - is this normal?
    5. If I go to the "TURN" tab it asks for a numeric value what is this for?
    6. If I go to the "TURN" tab it says "New updates found" and it goes back to the start pages and there it says "No updates found.".
Normaly I’m using a syrp motion controller unit and it just works, so I might be spoiled in terms of usability.

I use an iPhone X with Safari and run FW C1e_02096

    Hi, congrats for MECHA
I assume you received the MECHA new and both units have FW C1e_02096 or newer
please follow the instructions on page 13 -16 in this guide

    https://www.nodalninja.com/Manuals/mecha.pdf
then please report if the DAC tests are working on MECHA as it should.

With MECHA DAC (dual combo) you'll use mostly the Row page

    (3) .. (6) should not happen, but we will deal with this later.
    1. Mecha it possible.
    2. Mecha it easy.
    3. Mecha team up.

Thx for the reply. I assume yes I've received both units with C1e_02096 but the app says in the turn tab "New updates found".

I did the test, the unit moves around though not like in the youtube video for example it does not go into the 90° vertical position, it is somewhat in between or above. In the manual, it says it shows the current position in degrees on the left side in the app, but it always says "1" and never the actual position of the unit.

I assume both rotators are E2,

Please access the /config of each MECHA
        user: admin
        pass: Mecha
        then set

        Rotator: E2

        then click/tap on [Apply]
please also note what is written at the bottom at

        Firmware: ...

then please do a DAC test again
        1. Mecha it possible.
        2. Mecha it easy.
        3. Mecha team up.

          Firmware: C1E_02096, C1M_01139

I did so and ran the test again, same result. The Mecha moves around but positions do not match as stated in the video.

Just to be sure this is the case

You have the iPhone connected to SSID MECHA-H-DAC

            access 192.168.8.1/config
            set Rotator:E2 then [Apply]
            note the firmware

at the very bottom of the page should be

            [V MECHA / config] button
            click/tap on it
            then again
            set Rotator:E2 then [Apply]
            note the firmware

then please do the DAC test using MECHA H buttons

the test should perform as in video
            1. Mecha it possible.
            2. Mecha it easy.
            3. Mecha team up.

Yes did so, I will post a screenshot shortly. The Mecha is stuck a some odd angle, is it not possible to reset the unit or set the angle to 0°?

The initial position for the test is need to be manually adjusted with the buttons of V MECHA as shown in this image
(press and hold then release when the position is OK)

                  Attached the screen shots.
So I can't set it 0°, I just have to eyeball it?

Yes, you can use the slider for precision but for now until we are are that the basics are OK, please use the buttons and eyeball it.

                    Also I saw H MECHA is 2096 while V MECHA is 2098,
is best to have both at the same FW, if MECHAs are paired you only need to update H MECHA FW and both MECHAS will be updated.

So I manually moved it to the +-90° position, now the 1313> is not working anymore.

I tabbed "Update" and it said "No updates found."

1313> not working using H MECHA buttons?

please turn OFF then tun back ON both MECHA, then try again 1313> on H MECHA after you see - LED on H MECHA and = LED on V MECHA

According with the server you attempted an update from V MECHA,

I'm beginning to guess what is happening you might have V-H switched, but is not any problem, is easy to fix.

the H MECHA is the horizontal one,
The V MECHA is the vertical one

Please follow again the instructions on page 13
horizontal MECHA is the lower one

Ok thx so far, I will see what I can do or what will work. But this is a lot of hassle for just taking one simple 360°, I'm now almost two days in with just setting up.

Update: I have tried Instruction page 13, it still does not work, thx for the help though probably a broken unit or so.
