  • IR remote control preset execution and Arrow buttons

The firmware is the latest version 2150

"Use Nodal Ninja IR Remote." You are in an environment where you can use the IR remote control by selecting.

With the IR remote control, it moves well in the up/down/left/right direction.

The "Shoot" button works well too.

    Problem 1:

If you press "1 <" to execute the preset from the IR remote control, it will be executed only once, and if you press "1 <" again, the preset will not be executed.
If Mecha is powered on again and run, it is executed only once, and preset is not executed even if "1 <" is pressed again.

    Problem 2:

In the IR remote control, "< 1", "< 2" or "< 3" is also the same symptom as Problem 1.
When turning on the power and entering "< 1", it moves 45 degrees only once, and does not work if you enter "< 2" again.
When entering "<1": "#13" is displayed on the upper right of the UI
When entering "<2": "#12" is displayed on the upper right of the UI
When entering "<3": "#11" is displayed on the upper right of the UI

Please tell me how to fix it.

    Thank you for reporting,

I had a similar report of this issues from other user, so it is not an isolated problem.

I'll look into and will be a fix ASAP

    1. Mecha it possible.
    2. Mecha it easy.

It is fixed now for both C1 and C2 in 02151, sorry for any trouble caused.

          C1E_02151
Addressed an issue regarding button [1], [2] and [3] of NN IR Remote, if Rev.0 of NN IR remote was used.

            Thanks Dorin.

The C1E_02151 IR remote control works well.

There seems to be something wrong with C2E_02151.
IR remote control button is not normal.
            "2" = UP
            "3" = Down
            > 1 = minus
            Please check.

                Please try with C2E_02152,

I don't have yet the remote you have, cannot test it.

                  In C2E_02152

                  "1<" Preset runs, but "<1" doesn't work

Was nothing to fix there, the <1 was not implemented in C2 , it has 4 arrow buttons.

But it is implemented now :)

                      ---------8<---------------------------------------------

                      C2E_02153

Added interval movement to all arrow buttons:
                      on Controller [>][-], [>][+], [>][=]
                      on IR remote [>][1], [>][2], [>][3].
The intervals can be set on /config, default are 45, 90 and 180°

                      ---------8<---------------------------------------------

                        Another question

                        1. When using two IR remote controllers, each of the different DACs cannot be controlled. When using multiple IR remote controllers and multiple DACs in the same place, how do you eliminate the interference from each other?

                        2. Use P1 for V-MECHA at C2.
I set the "Safety Interval" to 45 degrees, but this does not work.

                        3. UP Down direction is opposite to C1
Select "Swich the Up-Down rotation when done by Mecha buttons" and press "Apply" to make a beep sound from C2, but it is not saved.
                        How should I save it?

                          1) MECHA has support for different remotes,
two NN IR remote are identical from factory but they have some learning feature,
I'll give more info when I'll have the actual remote in my hands.

                          2) Safety interval is for DAC only, as.. safety.
                          DAC works in this way
DAC-H receives the command from IR and sent the command to DAC-V via WiFi,
the command for up-down is like "start the move" then "stop the move",
if something happens with the WiFi, the "stop the move" will not be received and DAC-V will stop automatically after safety interval, otherwise it can move continuously.
C2 has different way, it tells to V motor to rotate while commands comes from IR, if no commands are coming, the motor will stop, is not start move then stop move, is move while receiving.

I future DAC will have this way too, by faster way of communications, which is tested and is working but will be added other time as it changes all the communication protocol, then will be no need for safety interval.

As a note, taking "advantage" of the interference with two IR receivers, and one single IR remote the C2 way can be set even today,
by custom IR config file, which can make basically DAC-H be blind for up-down while DAC-V blind for left-right

                          3) I need to fix that, it could be today.

                          1. Mecha it possible.
                          2. Mecha it easy.
                          3. Mecha team up.

                          4. ..
