    I have updated to 12258.
Question: When I use the Update with Hotspot, I am connected to the C2 via Wifi to my Iphone and also have the Hotspot turned on.
    The update process begins etc
    The C2 then reboots
    The screen Shows: SCANNING
    The it shows COMMUNICATION FAILED!
    It then does another reboot
    The screen Shows: SCANNING
    The it shows COMMUNICATION FAILED!
Reboots again and then shows the default P Menu

I check the firmware version and it says 12258

Also, When I check the Firmware version, it is not possible to go back to the default P Menu
If I press the 3 lines Button, as long as I hold the press the word MENU shows, letting go, it shows the battery icon, P1 and the IP Address

I have to turn off and on to get back to the P Menu

    Is this normal?

      There are Simple Mode (new)
Click image for larger version Name:	simple_mode.png Views:	0 Size:	1.3 KB ID:	33851

and Advanced Mode - the old one -

Click image for larger version Name:	advanced_mode.png Views:	0 Size:	1.4 KB ID:	33852

like you had when purchased C2

The differences are covered in user Guide
      https://www.nodalninja.com/Manuals/c2-guide.pdf
in few words, in simple mode you're always in a menu,
[Power] shows the battery level, then press again to go back in Menu.

Regardless of what mode you are in, to switch from P to C, or back, just short press [=]

You can switch to Advanced Mode to be as you were customized, if you want.
please press [o] the middle button when you
have selected the above, to switch from one mode to the other.

About FW update, if the hot-spot is off at restart, after update, it will show Conn. Failed, which means only connection to hot-spot.

it would be really useful for a UI step by step option of something like:

What do you want to create? Full 360/Partial Panorama
if Partial type angle eg 140 degrees. type in lens focal length (auto calculate rows and positions)
If Full 360 type in lens focal length (auto calculate rows and positions)
bracketing yes/no. Number of bracketed shots.
        Pc sync cable connected Yes/No

Then based on the settings, an info window to give instructions on camera settings such as if using a pc sync cable then set the camera to timer mode and 3 shots from a single click etc.
        Just an idea…

e.g. already in the latest FW 12271

more, to be less ;o) will come.

Great idea. I thought this is the way it would be with the “wizard”. This is very user friendly. It’s one of the things I like about the Panocatcher.

A bit a of a cheeky request :) I use Maya everyday for 3d content development for training content purposes and currently I am creating some 360 tours for learning purposes. I was going to build a 3d model of the P1 C2 unit to use in the modules but I see you have one for the video tutorials on Youtube. Would it be possible to get a copy of the 3D model by any chance? Please :)

What type of formats do you need? I may offer you some low precision models.

Hi Nick, thanks for the reply. I use Maya so the OBJ format will be sufficient. Thanks again
